3 years ago, 2 flight attendants from Air New Zealand approached me to be their personal trainer. They explained all the problems they faced on the job as long haul cabin crew.

Irregular Eating Patterns, Long Haul Flights, Crossing Multiple Time Zones Will Cause 95% of Flight Attendants to Gain Weight and Experience Fatigue!
These 2 cabin crew absolutely needed help with their diet. It is guaranteed that your body will gain weight if your eating irregularly. These 2 ladies were eating only 2 big meals throughout a whole day and snacking on Crisps (Potato Chips) and cola throughout flights. This is a guaranteed way to pack on the pounds! The effects seemed to multiply as they crossed multiple time zones.
Your Body just can't cope. It goes into starvation mode which slows down your metabolism (The body's ability to burn fat). So when you eat a big meal at the end of a 13 hour day, your body still thinks you are starving it and refuses to burn the calories you just ate, resulting in a lack of energy and of course getting fatter!
